my background is for some reason this really annoying white color. i can't get rid of it! i tried deleting all my codes but it won't go away.

that is just your background without a code. not sure if i read that right but if you want like polkadots here..put this in your about me..after your stuff..

in the " and " after the background-image:url but in the url that you can find at photobucket or any image my right clicking-%26gt; properties-%26gt;location or something like that. it will look like this ( tinypic.a65.blahblahblah.png)

just search for new layouts(u can search it at layoutchef.com)..

try putting a different code in there for a background. it may just be that you dont have a layout so it is blank.
