use a layout generator. check out the people's sites that you like, chances are they've used a layout generator too... there should be a corner ad, or a link within their site that says what site they used... click on it. it should take you directly to the layout generator. I like http://www.layoutgeneratormyspace.com/ it gives you an area where you can upload your own picture to use as your background... but you have to use photobucket to upload your pic (easy and free... it walks you thru it.) just make sure that you use the right url from photobucket to put into the generator for your pic. and make sure you hit APPLY.... I can't tell you how long it took for me to get it right, only beecuase i forgot to hit apply!!! lol then you copy and paste the code into your myspace layout wherever it tells you to (usually in the about me section).
