What would the standard size of a pic be to fit as a myspace background?

I'm tryingo to make my own layout and I would like to know what would be the measurements for a pic that I'm trying to use as my background....thanks.....by the way I'm doing it in photoshop :D

Well, you see, everyone runs at different resolutions. Your image might appear fine on some comptures, too big on others and too small on others. Theres no correct size.

That being said, 1024x768 is a pretty standard resolution, 1280x1024 is also pretty standard.

well depends on ones screen size of the computer viewing it, if you want a seamless image use repeat, and pick an image that you can tile. If you want a background image that is page size 1280x1024 is safe but 1024x768 is most common. be sure to choose a background color that will blend with the image if it is viewed on a larger screen
