Creating your own myspace background?

I'm wanting to create my own myspace background . I know how to do this in my art program, but i'm wondering how big the dimensions have to be in order for it to fit as a background without any "repeat" of the image. Y a know, so it ,looks like just one BIG image, not 3 smaller ones, for the background.?

Any help would be great!?

It would depend on the screen resolution of the person viewing the page..

It would be different to everyone because of the different screen resolutions. However, the most common is 1024 x 768.
